Terms of Service

1. Definitions

  • HousAlert: the platform that helps users find rental properties through automated alerts
  • User: any person who uses HousAlert
  • Account: the personal profile of the user
  • Service: all functionalities offered by HousAlert, including alerts and search profiles
  • Subscription: paid access to (parts of) the Service


2. Applicability

These Terms of Service apply to the use of HousAlert and all related services.

By using HousAlert, you agree to these Terms.


3. Account and Use

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use HousAlert
  • You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You are not allowed to share your account with others

HousAlert reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts in case of misuse.


4. Service

HousAlert provides a platform that aggregates rental listings from external websites and displays them to users based on their search profile.

We:

  • do not guarantee that all listings are current or available
  • are not responsible for the content of external websites
  • are not a landlord or real estate agent

HousAlert operates solely as a technology platform.


5. Subscription and Payment

  • Certain features require a paid subscription
  • Payments are processed through external providers such as Stripe
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in time


Cancellation
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds will be provided for already paid periods


6. Free Trial

If applicable:

  • New users may be offered a free trial period
  • After the trial ends, the subscription will automatically convert into a paid subscription
  • You can cancel before the end of the trial to avoid charges


7. Use of the Platform

You are not allowed to:

  • misuse or overload the platform
  • use automated scripts or bots without permission
  • infringe on the rights of third parties
  • provide false or misleading information


8. Liability

HousAlert is not liable for:

  • not finding a rental property
  • errors or inaccuracies in listing information
  • any damages resulting from the use of the platform

Total liability is in all cases limited to the amount you paid in the past month.


9. Availability

We strive to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee that HousAlert will always operate without interruptions.

We reserve the right to:

  • temporarily take the service offline
  • modify or discontinue features


10. Intellectual Property

All rights related to HousAlert, including software, design, and content, remain the property of HousAlert.

You are not allowed to copy or reuse parts of the platform without permission.


11. Privacy

The use of HousAlert is subject to our Privacy Policy.


12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • you violate these Terms
  • misuse of the platform is detected


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Dutch law.

Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.


14. Changes

HousAlert reserves the right to modify these Terms.

The most current version will always be available on the website.
